Evergreen Table Co: Bringing Australia’s Favourite Vegan Brands Back to Life

There’s nothing worse than finding a vegan product you absolutely love… only for the business to close down.

We’ve all had that moment, and currently it seems like it is happen more often than usual as the Australian vegan scene combats inflation and other issues that are causing vegan brands to shut. You find the perfect mock meat, the best brownie, the souvlaki that tastes like you remember, but then suddenly it’s gone.

That’s exactly why Evergreen Table Co is such a big deal for the Australian vegan community.

They’re not just launching new products.

They’re bringing back the brands we thought we’d lost forever.

And honestly? I love the concept.

What Is Evergreen Table Co?

Evergreen Table is a collective online platform bringing back beloved products from currently closed vegan brands such as Mina Maria, Sable, Hello Friend Foods and many more all in one place.

Instead of watching great vegan businesses disappear, Evergreen Table Co partners with former founders and recreates their signature products in a Sydney production kitchen, following the original recipes, methods and standards.

The name “Evergreen” reflects their mission to keep iconic vegan dishes lasting, sustainable and always growing.

The founders of Evergreen Table experienced the heartbreak of losing their own vegan business (I Should Be Souvlaki / Mina Maria), and saw first-hand how much the community missed these brands.

Instead of letting those recipes fade away for no one to enjoy again, they created a way to:

  • Honour the original founders

  • Recreate their fan-favourite dishes

  • Support Australian vegan businesses

  • Deliver directly to customers

Many of the original founders collaborate with Evergreen Table on recipes and product launches, which is important, as this isn’t just a “copycat” operation - it’s a respectful revival of the original products.

Delivery areas are surprisingly broad as well, with Evergreen Table currently delivering to:

ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA — including Melbourne Metro, regional Victoria (Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland, Mornington Peninsula and more), Sydney Metro, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Deliveries run weekly:

  • ACT/NSW on Fridays

  • QLD/VIC on Saturdays

Orders are packed in their Sydney kitchen, stored in a coolroom, and delivered in chilled vans to maintain temperature the whole way - no unpleasant surprises!

My Personal Experience Ordering From Evergreen Table Co

Evergreen Table Co mock meats offering

I was excited to try Evergreen Table, and relive some of the fond vegan food memories. What stood out to me wasn’t just the food. It was the process.

The communication was excellent throughout. I received clear email and text updates about my order, expected delivery time, and when it was arriving.

Delivery came via refrigerated courier, which is a big tick. Food safety matters, especially when ordering chilled products such as those offered by Evergreen Table co.

Everything arrived:

  • Clearly labelled

  • Nutritional information included

  • Storage instructions listed

  • Fridge life AND freezer life clearly marked

This is where I think Evergreen Table Co is very smart, and stood out for me. Yes, there’s a minimum order threshold, but you can absolutely stock up and freeze items if you have the space.

I’ve frozen:

  • Mock meats

  • Cookies

  • Biscoff brownies

They thaw beautifully and it makes the minimum spend much easier to justify for families.

Why This Matters For The Australian Vegan Community

There are so many great vegan brands in Australia that have had to shut their doors for a variety of reasons, such as:

  • Rising costs

  • Staffing

  • Rent

  • Market pressure

And every time one closes, it feels like a small loss for the community.

Evergreen Table Co gives hope. Their production kitchen allows them to recreate those favourites, honour original recipes, and keep those delicious memories alive. For long-time vegans, it’s nostalgia, but for new vegans, it’s a second chance to try the legends they missed.

I think there’s something pretty special about seeing closed vegan brands get a second life.

For a lot of us, these weren’t just products, they were memories!

Café visits, takeaway nights, discovering something new that actually tasted amazing and thinking, “Yep, this is the future.”

Evergreen Table Co isn’t just selling food. They’re preserving pieces of Australia’s vegan story and making sure those flavours don’t disappear, and allowing more vegans in Australia to experience some of the innovative products that were once available.

As someone who’s watched the Aussie vegan scene grow, especially here in Melbourne, I genuinely appreciate businesses that strengthen the community rather than compete with it. If you’re in Melbourne and love discovering great plant-based spots (old and new), make sure you check out my full guide to the best vegan cafes in Melbourne where I share my favourite places to eat, revisit, and support.

Whether it’s online delivery or a local café, backing Aussie vegan businesses is how we keep this movement growing.
