This accidentally vegan Australia list has a handful of new vegan friendly items that are now available in the supermarkets, and potentially items that you didn’t realise were actually vegan friendly.

This accidentally vegan Australia list includes vegan friendly lollies, vegan cereals in Australia and some super refreshing icy poles that are all vegan friendly and are now available in Australia.

If you’ve been looking for some new tasty vegan chips then these brand new Thins Outback BBQ chips are sure to be a winner!

These vegan chips boast some incredibly strong barbecue sauce flavours, and pretty much resembles a potato chip covered in barbecue sauce.

Despite all of this, these new Thins Outback BBQ chips pack a lot of flavour and is an item definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some new vegan chips.

This new product is now available at Coles supermarkets for a limited time for $4.

 

RESCUE POPS:

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to navigate the freezer section at the store when looking for a vegan friendly ice cream/icy pole.

These new Rescue Pops from Peters are such an incredible idea in the fight to help stop unnecessary food waste in Australia.

The Rescue Pops use the irregular plums from farmers that are slightly bruised and miscoloured that the supermarkets don’t want and turn them into super creamy and flavoursome sorbet!

This vegan ice cream is a great initiative and is one accidentally vegan item in Australia that’s absolutely worth checking out if you’re looking for something a little bit refreshing

NUTRI GRAIN CHOC MALT FLAVOUR:

Nutri Grain Vegan Choc Malt Flavour

Have you ever wondered “is nutri grain vegan friendly?” Well, the simple answer is YES, yes it is!

The regular Nutri Grain cereal is vegan friendly, as well as these brand new Nutri Grain Choc Malt flavoured cereal.

Nutri Grain seem to release new flavours each year, and thankfully they have always been vegan friendly. They previously released a Nutri Grain Vanilla Malt flavour and Nutri Grain Peanut Butter Crunch flavour in recent years, and now they’ve just released in 2023 the Nutri Grain Choc Malt flavour into Australia supermarkets.

This Nutri Grain flavour is vegan friendly and my best way to describe this vegan cereal is that it’s a blend between Coco Pops and regular Nutri Grain - it isn’t a bad combination to be honest!

Nutri Grain is a vegan friendly cereal and these new Nutri Grain Choc Malt flavour is now available in supermarkets for $8.50 for a limited release.

CHUPA CHUPS PARTY PACK ICY POLES:

Chupa Chups Party Pack 30 sticks vegan icy poles

Check out this new collaboration release from Bulla and Chup Chups - the brand new Chupa Chups Party Pack icy poles.

This new accidentally vegan find is now available in Coles supermarkets, with the pack including 30 icy pole sticks that are vegan and super flavoursome.

Included in these vegan icy pole pack are iconic Chupa Chups flavours:

  • Watermelon

  • Strawberry

  • Cola

Navigating the freezer section during those hot Summer days as a vegan in Australia can sometimes be overwhelming in not knowing what icy poles and ice creams are vegan friendly, but you can rest assured that these Chupa Chups Party Pack icy poles are in fact vegan friendly.

These new vegan icy poles can be found in Coles supermarkets for $18 and includes 30 icy poles in the box - definitely an essential during those hot Summer days in Australia as a vegan.

ALLENS JELLY BEANS & GLUCOJEL JELLY BEANS:

Vegans in Australia this is such a massive highlight, with vegan friendly Jelly Beans being available in supermarkets now thanks to Allen’s… and ALSO Glucojel Jelly Beans are vegan now too!

It is a pretty massive step forward as a vegan in Australia when a big lolly company such as Allen’s re-release an iconic item such as their Allen’s Jelly Beans, and make them vegan friendly. On top of this, the Glucojel Jelly Beans that you generally only find at the chemist are also vegan friendly.

If there’s one accidentally vegan item in Australia worth getting excited about, I definitely feel like it’s these Allen’s and Glucojel Jelly Beans!

Having an increasing range of vegan lollies in Australia is always positive, but having a label of ‘vegan friendly’ on the front of the packets makes life so much easier for vegans in Australia trying to navigate the supermarkets to find accidentally vegan friendly items in Australia.

The Allen’s vegan friendly Jelly Beans are available in a variety of locations for $4 for a 190g packet, meanwhile the vegan friendly Glucojel Jelly Beans are available in most chemist for $12.99 for a massive 1kg packet.
