Oreo Double Stuff Sour Patch Kids Review

Oreo Double Stuff Sour Patch Kids

The Oreo brand are one of the best-known accidentally vegan biscuits in Australia, and they’ve just dropped a wild new flavour that you need to try: Oreo Sour Patch Kids.

The brand new Oreo Sour Patch Kids flavour is available in both Double Stuff ($3) and Minis ($5), these colourful biscuits have already caused a stir in supermarkets. I picked them up for a taste test, and here’s how they stack up.

Taste Test – Oreo Sour Patch Kids

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how these would turn out. Sour and sweet inside a biscuit? But they’re actually spot-on.

I find that it helps that this flavour doesn’t use the usual Chocolate Oreo biscuits, and the lighter biscuit works so well with the Sour Patch Kids flavour.

Here’ the breakdown:

  • Flavour: Sweet, tangy, and a little zesty – almost like eating a biscuit version of the Streets Splice Pine Lime Ice Cream.

  • Texture: Classic Oreo crunch with that creamy Double Stuff centre.

  • Best format: The Double Stuff wins hands down. The Minis are fun, but the flavour isn’t as bold. The Oreo Double Stuff Sour Patch Kids boasts double the creme filling, and it really makes a world of difference when comparing the two varieties.

Are Oreo Sour Patch Kids Vegan in Australia?

Yes. The Oreo Sour Patch Kids Double Stuff and Minis are accidentally vegan friendly. Like most Oreos (except a few limited releases with dairy), they don’t contain any animal-based ingredients.

Why You’ll Love Oreo Sour Patch Kids

  • Accidentally vegan

  • Unique flavour combo - that actually works!

  • Available in two varieties - Double Stuff and Minis

  • Perfect for sharing

The Oreo Sour Patch Kids are one of the most fun Oreo releases I’ve tried in recent years, and it might just be my favourite. The tangy, almost pineapple-lime flavour takes me straight back to eating Streets Splice Pine Lime Ice Creams as a kid. If you’re a fan of Sour Patch Kids or just want a new twist on Oreos, these are a must-try.
