Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese Burger Review

Nature’s Kitchen have dropped a new addition to their growing line-up of vegan goodies at Coles supermarkets, and this time it’s something a little different - Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese Burgers.

These new vegan burgers are available now in the freezer section at Coles for just $5 (two burgers per pack), these caught my eye as a more wholesome option in the plant-based space, especially for those that are getting tired of the usual mock meat options.

But are they any good? Let’s break it down.

What’s In the Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese Burgers?

Close up of Nature's Kitchen Cauliflower burger

These new Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese burgers are made with:

  • Cauliflower – the main star of the show, giving it a soft, tender texture

  • Beans – for added texture and fibre

  • Vegan cheese & nutritional yeast – aiming for that cheesy flavour hit

  • A mix of herbs and spices – especially strong on the parsley!

  • A thick, crispy crumb – and this is where it really shines

No mock meat here. Just a veggie-forward option that feels a bit more real and wholesome.

What’s It Like?

Straight out of the air fryer, the first thing I noticed was just how crispy the crumb was. Like, super crispy. That alone had me impressed. The inside is what you’d expect from a veggie-based burger: soft, hearty, and full of real vegetable flavour. The beans help keep the patty from becoming mushy, which is always a win in my books, especially when compared to your general veggie patties.

Now, as for the “cheese”, I’ll be honest, it doesn’t really come through. Despite the inclusion of vegan cheese and nutritional yeast, it’s subtle at best. If you’re buying this for that strong cheesy hit, you might be left a bit disappointed.

Honestly, it isn’t a huge lose in my opinion, as this Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese burger hits perfectly with herb flavours and that crispy goodness!

Why You’ll Love It

A lot of vegetable burgers are a complete mushy mess, bland and fall apart far too easily when in a bun. However, the Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese Burgers hit on a whole other level that is worth a try. Here’s why I think they are worth a try:

  • $5 Price Tag

  • Freezer-Friendly

  • Wholesome Ingredients

  • Super Crispy Crumb

As a busy vegan dad with two growing boys who play sports and have plenty of after-school activities, having an affordable, quick to make and freezer friendly item is a major winner in my book. Even without the strong cheesy flavours that you’d expect with these Nature’s Kitchen Cauliflower & Cheese Burgers, it is still a quick, convenient and satisfying option - even better if you’re looking to cut back on mock meats.

I’m always on the lookout for vegan food in Australia that’s accessible and delicious, and this one ticks a lot of boxes.
